Living Journeys donors make a impact

Living Journeys donors have not only influenced my cancer story, [they] have impacted my life.

On January 14, 2020, I was airlifted from Gunnison to Grand Junction at 28 weeks pregnant. My husband and I were mentally preparing ourselves that our baby would be born prematurely.

However, once we arrived in Grand Junction, our doctors discovered that I had a very invasive form of cancer that was growing quickly due to the increased hormones and blood flow that comes from being pregnant. Our baby ended up being born 10 weeks early and she had to live in the NICU. I had to spend 3.5 months in Grand Junction, going through treatments.

Living Journeys has been a true blessing.

When you find out you have cancer, you have to deal with the emotional impact and the financial burden, all while making sure your family’s needs are still being met. We are so grateful Living Journeys has helped facilitate these needs by making available meal and grocery delivery, counseling support and financial assistance.  Living Journeys donors have not only influenced my cancer story, you all have impacted my life.  Because of Living Journeys, I am able to focus on healing and spending quality time with my family.
