Eliza is a licensed clinical social worker who strives to create a safe, authentic, and compassionate space for her clients to navigate life’s challenges. Drawing on a blend of traditional and experiential therapies-including somatic practices, CBT, psychodrama, mindfulness, and nature-based approaches-Eliza helps clients work through grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, life transitions, and identity exploration. Her approach to healing integrates body-based and adventure-based methods, grounded in her background in outdoor and experiential education, as well as her personal passion for adventure and exploration. Eliza sees adventure not only in the outdoors, but also in the courageous process of healing and self-discovery. Having experienced her mother’s breast cancer and loss as a child, as well as her father’s cancer journey, she brings a deeply personal understanding to the challenges of cancer and grief. Eliza believes in the possibility for transformation even in the midst of hardship and is dedicated to helping clients access depth, healing, resilience, and joy. Originally from New York City, Eliza has called Colorado home for over fifteen years and currently lives in Gunnison with her partner and their sweet pup Magnolia. She brings warmth, creativity, and humor to her practice and is passionate about empowering clients to move forward with confidence and hope.
